I am a director, writer, and artist from the UK, currently studying in Leeds, and previously in Loughborough and Duffield.

I have a love for storytelling and art above all else, the two passions often overlapping to create very visually driven narratives. Working with character to create complex relationships with themselves and others, how they develop, and how the world they exist in can frame and effect who they are is so exciting to me. Embedding theme into the actions they take, how their story effects them, the world they inhabit and the clothes they wear on their back is so fundamentally interesting.

Despite being young, I have a body of work that spans multiple artistic forms, being drama, documentary, animation, painting, illustration and photography as well as the odd unpublished comic book here and there,.

I started in Fine-Art, studying painting, and learning a lot about composition and incorporating theme into an interesting image, eventually leading me into photography, playing with shadow and colour in the real world, pulling tone and narrative from something already there.

I had a real crisis of faith soon after, as I didn’t know what I really wanted to do, illustration was exciting, and something I’d been doing since I was a child, Fine-Art,, because I loved to create in that world, of filmmaking, animated or not. It was the collaboration, and the mixture of all disciplines that excited me about film, forming a strong story, and building a world for your characters to inhabit, and on top of that the moving image. The frame not just capturing a moment, but a series of them. Oh my.

I went to Loughborough to study Art and Design foundation, and came out making an animated short film, and with that it was decided.

Since then I have worked as primarily a director and writer, with jobs as a production designer, concept artist, and storyboard artist.

I love it all, but my heart lies in directing and writing, supported with my artist’s background, I find collaborating with other creatives with different expertise to me, guiding a group of passionate people towards a cohesive vision is so much fun. A lot of work! But I love it regardless.
