Gargoyles
Alongside writing and directing this film, I also made the concept art and animated the project.
Designing a set of characters for animation was a lot of fun, because I knew they could look however I wanted, as long as I could model it, in the style of a 90’s 3D game. There was a lot of thought into what I wanted these character’s physical presence to be like, ‘Death’ being static, and aloof, ‘Cam’ being dressed for the outdoors, and feigning relax, and ‘Syd’ being in her pyjamas not prepared at all.
As this story is set at the very ending of the end of the world, using their designs to hint at the abruptness of it, like new tattoos, having plans for a future they didn’t expect they’d never see, was really interesting.
