I worked briefly as a concept artist on this project.

In this experimental film, everybody who populates this world wears a mask of a face, except for the boy, born without a face, until ‘the monster’ grows from the back of his head, allowing him to steal the faces of others.

This was genuinely a very fun project, seeing how I could push the basic elements of a face to unsettle, and also make sympathy with the townsfolk, and craft a conniving, manipulative villain from the monster.

Unfortunately the team decided that they wanted to go a more cost effect route but still used my designs as a reference point.
